Our theme this year is "Finding the Bright Spots while Serving Others, Recognizing Potential, and Exceeding Expectations!" We are also encouraging our students to make sure that they are being Safe, Respectful and Encouraging!

Please go to www.leanderisd.org, go to Parents, and Volunteers to complete a volunteer application.  Once you have been approved as an LISD volunteer you can come help at school!  We need volunteers to help in many areas of our school.  Go to the PTA link to find out more or contact your child's teacher to find out how you can help in the classroom! 

If you are a dad or granddad and are interested in being a WatchDog, please fill out this volunteer application as soon as possible and come to our WatchDog orientation on Tuesday, September 6 at the cafeteria!

It's a good time to remind our students about safety and awareness. Here are some tips to discuss with your child:

• Do not talk to strangers or anyone you do not know - stay at least a whole arms-length away from anyone you do not know.
• Do not walk alone, always have a buddy.
• If anyone approaches you, tell an adult.
• If you or your child sees any suspicious activity, please notify the police immediately.

Help your school while helping the earth...recycle your paper in our green and yellow bin in front of our building!  Steiner Ranch Elementary came in second place in the district for paper recycling last year!  Let's keep up the great work!
