Destination Imagination (DI) is a global, non-profit educational program that teaches students from kindergarten through university-level how to solve open-ended STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) challenges. Teams of 2–7 members work together over several months to create innovative solutions, developing critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills while preparing for regional, state, and global tournaments.

This motivational Program strengthens math concepts and skills, aligns with National and State Mathematics Standards, and stimulates creative thinking while developing Active Problem-Solving skills.

Using LEGO® technology (SPIKE Prime or Mindstorms), teams design, build, and code autonomous robots to solve missions in a themed Robot Game. The program emphasizes creativity, coding, engineering, and Core Values like teamwork, inclusion, and innovation.

HOP (Hour of Power) Time is a highly engaging, student-choice experience where learners participate in themed sessions that build over multiple weeks, similar to clubs rather than one-time activities. Students select from a variety of options, allowing them to explore interests, try new experiences, and collaborate with peers across grade levels. Teachers partner across teams to design creative, interactive sessions that foster relationships and provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. Overall, HOP Time promotes student voice, engagement, and a sense of community within the school.

Our elementary school recycling team plays a vital role in teaching young students about environmental responsibility and teamwork. By actively participating, children learn how to reduce waste and conserve natural resources. Student Ambassadors

SRE Ambassadors are students in grade 3-5 who act as a responsible representative of our school and promoter of special activities. Students meet mostly once, sometimes twice a month during their lunchtime with Ms. Meyer.
As an ambassador team, we will work:
- to promote a positive school culture of inclusion, acceptance, and goodwill
- create special activities to celebrate events such as Kindness Week, Awareness month and days, and teacher and student recognition weeks
*Student Ambassadors is specifically for students who feel compelled to serve as a student leader and are able to fulfill their responsibilities.

Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol is an exciting leadership opportunity for select 5th graders who play a vital role in keeping our school community safe and welcoming. Safety Patrol members assist with opening car doors during arrival, greet students with enthusiasm, and help maintain a calm, orderly environment. By serving on Safety Patrol, students develop responsibility, leadership skills, and a strong sense of school pride while making a real difference in our school. This is a special honor for 5th graders who demonstrate maturity, kindness, and a commitment to helping others.
